    Betula ermanii is a more subtle silver birch with it’s warm tones of creamy white and pinkish bark, some have distinctly orangey tones on the mature stem. It is a graceful and vigorous tree well suited for group planting. It can reach 25m. It is an extremely variable species, varying in the smoothness or peeling quality of their bark. Some bark on mature specimens has an almost velvet-like texture.
