The Big Plant Centre supplies a huge range of Hedging Plants of every type and size, from whips to mature specimens 4 metres tall. Small plants for those on a budget as well as instant hedging for those of you wanting immediate screening.
We stock a wide range of different hedging species suitable for most purposes, including many native varieties.
Many of our customers who visit our centre for the first time are amazed at the range of varieties and sizes of hedging that we have in stock!
We grow a wide range of the plants ourselves, whilst working with a small selection of other professional nurseries to offer the depth and range of plants available.
Planting services are available for those requiring assistance.
Delivery charges vary according to the size/ weight of the product and quantity.
For products up to 2kg we dispatch these by Royal Mail for between £2.50 and £4.99 per item.
Above 2kg but below 30kg we dispatch these by courier for £9.40 per item.
For heavier items or multiple items we use a pallet courier for the cost of £65, this is restricted to dimensions of 1.2m x 1m x 0.75m tall and 1 tonne.
All items with dimensions above this will go by non standard delivery and a quote will be necessary before dispatch. PLEASE ENQUIRE.
For local deliveries it may be more economic to phone for a quote.
Please note that we are unable to ship to Scottish Highlands & Islands, Northern Ireland, The Channel Islands, Isle of Man or any other destination not on the UK Mainland for our standard courier price.

Buxus Sempervirens (Common Box) is a slow-growing evergreen shrub. The small, glossy oval leaves form a dense plant that is hardy and traditionally used for formal hedging. Buxus is also widely used for topiary shapes.
The plant on the left is the 5ltr and the one on the right the 1ltr.

A large deciduous spiny shrub which will produce an impenetratable barrier.
Leaves are silvery grey long and thin almost willow like, often confused with the willow leaved pear Pyrus salicifolia. Flowers small and insignificant with a heavy scent in June.
