Acer griseum also known as the Paperbark maple is grown for it's peeling cinnamon coloured bark in mature specimens.
It is a small tree 6-10m tall and similar width, when mature and is slow growing with 10-20cm growth per annum.
Autumn leaf colour bright orange red to crimson.
Peeling of bark may take in excess of 4 years.
Prefers soils which do not suffer waterlogging or rich in nutrients.
