An elegant yellow, columnar cypress that swells into a symetrical oval shape. Beautifully proportioned and with its striking colour this plant adds impact and focus to a border or as a specimen plant.
Cupressus macrocarpa 'Goldcrest' will reach 15m high and 4m wide in 20-50 years. This conifer is easy to care for and providing it recieves enough water is suspectible to few diseases or pests. Regular pruning is important to maintain an even shape. When maintained as a hedge watch out for any brown die back as this can indicate the presense of Cypress Aphid or Cyprus Canker. This should be treated by means of an insecticide or pruning out affected branches.
