Hydrangea petiolaris is a hardy low maintenance deciduous plant usually grown as a wall shrub. The plants will easily climb upwards with a little encouragement, stems bear tiny aerial roots which will help established plants cling. In summer it produces large corymbs, up to 25cm across, of white flowers. One of the best climbers for a north facing wall. Height up to 15m in 5 years.
