Also known as Mimosa or Silver Wattle. RHS Award of Garden Merit 1993. Standard tree with a 14cm-16cm girth. This stunning evergreen tree has silvery feathered leaves, which move gently in the breeze providing a 'net curtain effect' acting as a great screen to hide unsightly developments and neighbours. Bunches of small yellow flowers produced in February/March have a sweet fragrance. Fast growing and great for screening. Mature height 4-7m, although may be pruned hard to maintain size. Hardy in southern counties.
