Porous pipe also commonly called weepy hose or leaky hose, is an ideal way of ensuring newly planted shrubs and trees are regularly watered, amongst other uses.
Use with a water timer or computer for full piece of mind.
Compatible with Hozelock & Gardena fittings.
Porous pipe is a rubber pipe which has small holes in it to allow water to slowly weep through into the soil below.
The maximum length of pipe for typical mains pressure is 50 metres and the output is approximately 4 litres per hour per metre.
WE recommend that the pipe is laid across the rootball, for large plants coil it around the plant, and the covered with a mulch such as composted bark to help retain the moisture.
