  • Height: 250cm minimum height with some plants nearer 300cm
  • Width: A widest point 1.7m+ wide
  • Production: Field grown and supplied root balled in autumn and winter months
  • Rootball Size: Approx 80cm wide and 80cm high  
  • Position: Sun full or  partial shade
  • Soil: Any fertile soil
  • Interest: Hedging and screening plant. Dark green foliage, white flowers in summer followed by dark berries
  • Rate of Growth: 30cm - 60cm per year
  • Flowers: White in conical shape clusters in summer
  • Hardiness: Very Hardy

An extremley vigorous, evergreen plant with dark green glossy leaves. Perfect as a hedging plant, laurel will grow in almost any garden and has the added interest of white flowers in summer followed by dark berries. A very cost effective plant for producing a dense hedge quickly.

Laurel is generally easy to care for but can be susceptible to pests and diseases. These include Powdery Mildew, Leaf Miner, Vine Weevil and Cherry Black Fly all of which can be controlled with chemicals. The berries produced by laurel are highly toxic
