Thuja Plicata 'Atrovirens' (Western Red Cedar) is an evergreen conifer. Grown for its red-brown flaking bark and conical habit. It has dark-green, neat foliage that may become bronze-tinted in winter. It is slower growing than leylandii and makes a good alternative producing a very good hedge. An wonderful specimen conifer that can reach 20m high and 15m wide in 10-20 years. This plant is accredited with the RHS Award of Garden Merit. Prune reguarly to maintain shape.
